History

1946 Established Sanwa Kogyo Co., Ltd. in Kotoni-cho of Sapporo city, Hokkaido with capital of 95,000 yen funded by 10 people including Eisaku Emori, Shojiro Takano, Hiroshi Emori and Fumiki Shiroishi.
Eisaku Emori became a director.
Started development of wood moisture tester and lumber metal detector.
Established the Tokyo office in Kita-shinbori-cho in Nihonbashi of Chuo-ku, Tokyo and the laboratory in Zushimachi, Kanagawa.
1947 Developed wood moisture tester “M-1 type” and delivered 20 mass-production products to Hokkaido government.
The trademark is named as “KETT” that is derived from the first letters of the family names of Satoshi Kiyohara, Eisaku Emori, Shojiro Takano and Siro Tadano.
1949 Changed the company name to Sanwa Denki Kagaku Kenkyujo.
Received a subsidy for development and research of wood moisture testers from Hokkaido government.

Established the Osaka office in Fukushima-ku of Osaka city. Increased the capital to 4,000,000 yen.

1977 Increased the capital to 72,000,000 yen. Established branch offices in Kanazawa, Niigata, Fukuoka, Sendai and Akita.

1987 The founder Eisaku Emori died. Received the Fifth Class Order of the Sacred Treasure. Motohiko Emori became the president and representative director.
