Kett has developed a moisture meter for rice, a device to measure the taste of rice, and a device to measure the appearance quality of rice.

The following is what we felt after many years of research and development of rice measuring devices. Because rice is alive, it is very difficult to read rice emotions. And that’s very fun.

When you are treating rice with affection, you will want to know more about rice moisture and ingredients, as well as other things.

We thought that we could learn more about rice by spreading the information of the rice we learned and sharing it with you.

So we launched “Kome Lab”.  “Kome” means rice in Japanese.

This Kome Lab series reports interesting stories about rice, experiences with rice, and more. We hope that we and our readers love rice more.
